Braces can correct almost anything, from mild crowding to complex bite problems that clear aligners can't handle. At Dental Valley, Dr. Ng plans and supervises your braces treatment from the first records to the final retainer.

Who braces are for

Braces suit anyone with crowding, gaps, rotated teeth or bite problems, at any age. Teenagers are the typical braces patients, but more and more of our braces patients in Kajang are adults who have wanted straighter teeth for years.

For children, an orthodontic check around age 7 to 9 lets us catch developing problems while the jaw is still growing, which can mean simpler treatment later.

How it works at Dental Valley

1. We take photos, x-rays and scans so Dr. Ng has the full picture. You get a plan with the expected duration.
2. We bond the brackets to your teeth and fit the first wire. It takes a while but doesn't hurt.
3. You come back about once a month for adjustments. Your teeth may feel tight for a day or two after each one.
4. We remove the braces and give you retainers to keep your teeth where we finished them.

What patients ask us

Metal or ceramic? Metal brackets are smaller and tougher than they used to be. Ceramic brackets are tooth-coloured and less visible, so adults often prefer them.

How long will I wear braces? Most cases take 18 to 24 months. Dr. Ng will give you a realistic estimate when we plan your treatment.
