Check-ups & Fillings

Routine check-ups and tooth-coloured fillings that catch problems while they're small and affordable.

Check-ups & Fillings

A check-up every six months is the cheapest dental treatment you'll ever pay for, because it stops small problems from becoming expensive ones. Almost every root canal, extraction and crown we do started as a small cavity that a check-up would have caught years earlier.

What happens at a check-up

  • We examine your teeth, gums, bite and existing fillings.
  • We take x-rays when needed, to see between teeth and under old fillings.
  • We show you what we find on screen using an intraoral camera, a small camera that takes close-up pictures inside your mouth.
  • If anything needs treatment, we explain your options. Often nothing does.

Tooth-coloured fillings

When a cavity needs filling, we use composite resin matched to the natural shade of your tooth instead of grey metal. We remove the decay, rebuild the tooth layer by layer, and you can eat normally the same day.

Old fillings that have started to leak or have become discoloured can also be replaced.

What patients ask us

Nothing hurts. Do I really need a check-up? Decay doesn't hurt until it's deep, and by then a simple filling has often turned into something bigger. A check-up while nothing hurts is how you avoid that.

Do fillings hurt? Small fillings often need no anaesthetic at all, and deeper ones are done with the tooth numbed, so you stay comfortable either way.

How often should I come? Every six months for most people. If you're prone to decay or gum problems, we may suggest coming more often and will explain why.

Overdue for a check-up? We're open seven days a week. Book a slot on WhatsApp.
